  • Last year when I went to New York Comic Con with my best friends from college we the second to last day of the con went to a bar after leaving the con. We were enjoying our drinks when some other women we had seen at the con walked in, the women were
  • obnoxiously loud saying it's their friends bachelorette party. I went to the ladies room and one woman walked in behind me and as we washed our hands she turns to me and tried telling
  • me this outrageous story of how their friend was celebrating their bachelorette party and could I buy her a round of drinks.
  • I told her I wasn't buying anyone a drink that I don't know. My friends and I finish our drink and when we ask for our bill we see additional charges for things we didn't order and when we asked the waitress why there were
  • charges of certain drinks and foods we didn't order we were told, "Those girls 'pointing to the bachelorette party' said you'd pick up their bill you all went to comic con together." I said we didn't go with them and we had only just seen them at the con but they weren't our friends.
  • The women realized they were sold out by the waitress and tried to sneak out but the waitress called the bouncer to stop them and the women were told to pay up or risk being arrested for dining
  • and dashing as well trying to pass their bill onto someone else. The bride-to- be tried proclaiming that she knows me and my friends but all we say is we don't know her and her party. The maid
  • of honor tried demanding we pay their bill as a present for the bride citing the gift is entitled and we said no. After we paid the bill my friends and I left leaving the bachelorette party to figure out how they'll pay their bill.

  • ajdesime 24m ago I've worked in bars/cafes/restaurants for the past 20 years and NEVER have I billed another person or table for anything without first confirming with them that they did in fact order said food/drinks for another table.
  • • III TemperedOld Woman 27m ago I'll bet it was just a scam, plain and simple
  • lizziebee66 • 21m ago I also don't get how a waitress would just take the word of someone in a party that a completely different group / couple were happy to foot their bill. That is also on the waitress.
  • Melodic-Dark6545 27m ago LOL; so according to their very wasted minds, you had to give a "gift" for a wedding you're not even invited? because you just don't know these people? You I do get the logic...you're such a bad guy! (sarcasm)
